Sandra performs aerial and acrobatic solos as a cast member of The Beggars Carnivale and exclusive performer with Belle of the Ball productions. She teaches and performs stationary trapeze, single-pointe trapeze, aerial silks, and aerial hoop. Currently, she teaches aerial and strength training classes through Upper Limits rock climbing gyms in the St. Louis and West County areas. Saint Louis City Museum.
Since 2005 Sandra has been performing and teaching circus arts with a focus on aerial artistry. The taste for circus arts began at an after-school circus program in Paris, France. After high school, she pursued training in the US, becoming a student teacher at a youth social circus program called Circus Day in St. Louis.
In 2007 Sandra began specializing in aerial and acrobatic arts, training with Joelle Pendergrass, Monté Carlo gold metalist acrobatics coach Sasha Nevidonski, and world-renown contortist and circus generalist Rosa Yagaansetseg. In 2009 she became an aerial coach at the newly opened Bumbershoot Aerial Arts Studio, and left to become freelance in 2012.
Every year Sandra attends workshops in continuing education for aerial coaches with Cirque du Soleil twins Elsie and Serenity Smith at NECCA. Sandra has developed her teaching and performing techniques with Sarah Poole of the National Circus School of Montréal, Carrie Heller of Circus Arts Institute, and graduates of ENC Montreal: Michael Lamphear, Kevin O’Conner, and Terry Crane. She even had the privilege of flying (once!) with Tony Steele, the famous flying trapeze legend.
Sandra spends a great deal of her free time traveling to workshops, learning and developing new material, and seeking opportunities for shared exploration and growth with circus artists across the globe.
